DelFest
DelFest is an annual bluegrass and Americana music festival held over Memorial Day weekend. Established in 2008 by bluegrass legend Del McCoury and his family, the festival aims to create a family-friendly environment that celebrates the rich legacy of McCoury Music while providing a platform for world-class musical collaborations and showcasing fresh new talent.
DelFest offers attendees a diverse musical experience, featuring traditional stage performances by renowned artists, unique collaborations, special guest appearances, and intimate performances at smaller venues within the fairgrounds. The festival attracts a wide array of music enthusiasts, from die-hard bluegrass fans to those who appreciate Americana and roots music. Beyond the music, attendees can participate in various activities, including workshops, late-night shows, and the DelFest Academy—a three-day program preceding the festival, hosted and taught by The Travelin’ McCourys and other all-star players.
