How Billfold POS Powers Pride
Smoother Operations at Utah, Indy, and Heritage Pride Festivals
Pride Month is a time for celebration, remembrance, and advocacy - but behind the scenes, these massive events require precise coordination to keep things moving. From the front gates to food vendors and merch stands, technology plays a major role in how smoothly the day goes. And for events of this size, that is something they can not afford to risk. This year, Billfold POS helped (and will help) elevate that experience for three standout Pride festivals across the country: Utah Pride, Indy Pride, and Heritage of Pride in New York City.
Here’s how Billfold's system made a tangible difference at each, and why tech matters during Pride Month.
Utah Pride Festival – Salt Lake City

The Festival
Hosted by Utah Pride Center - Utah Pride Festival is the state’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration and a major community anchor in Salt Lake City. It spans a full weekend with parades, performances, local vendors, and a ticketed Pride Story Garden experience.
The Impact
Billfold powered cashless transactions across all food and beverage locations, ensuring guests didn’t have to fumble with wallets or wait in long lines. With real-time data reporting, organizers were able to monitor spend, adjust staffing on the fly, and maximize revenue per head. Given the family-oriented and community-driven nature of Utah Pride, speed and ease-of-use created a more inclusive environment where the tech never got in the way of the moment.
Indy Pride – Indianapolis

The Festival
Indy Pride draws tens of thousands each June for its week-long programming, including the Parade and Festival at Military Park. It's one of the most diverse celebrations in the Midwest and champions LGBTQ+ equality year-round.
The Impact
Military Park transformed into a fully cashless zone with Billfold’s wristband-based point of sale. Attendees could link their band cards ahead of time to simply “Tap & pay” on festival day. This reduced friction at every tent and kiosk and cut transaction time’s significantly - vital when dealing with large crowds in high heat. On the operations side, event organizers used the platform’s dashboard to track vendor performance in real-time, flag bottlenecks, monitor devices behind the scenes, that lead the operation to a smooth and successful festival.
Heritage of Pride – New York City

The Festival
The big one; NYC Pride, run by Heritage of Pride set to take place June 27th is one of the most recognized LGBTQ+ events in the world. It includes PrideFest, the March, Youth Pride, and the rally, each requiring unique operational infrastructure.
The Impact
Billfold plans to help NYC Pride manage high-volume, high-security zones with no compromise on speed on the 27th. At PrideFest, where tens of thousands shop, eat, and connect in Greenwich Village, Billfold POS streamlines all vendor sales and eliminates the need for temporary payment solutions or open cash drawers. The system also allowed Heritage of Pride to centralize reporting across multiple locations, making it easier to track sales trends and support vendors more proactively throughout the day.
Why It Matters During Pride Month
Beyond logistics, tech that works means more time for connection, celebration, and community. Pride events are platforms for visibility, inclusion, and activism - when organizers don’t have to worry about backend chaos or long lines, they can focus on making the space safer and more joyful for everyone.
Billfold POS is proud to be part of that mission. By helping create faster, smarter, and more inclusive festivals, we’re doing our part to ensure Pride Month is powered by purpose - and built to scale.
Whether it's Utah, Indy, NYC, or whichever next Pride event we’re proud to serve, Billfold POS will be there one tap at a time.
